Looking to be mechanic's apprentice (Orlando, FL)
Hey all, I'm 22 and looking for some mechanic friends to help myself grow into being able to work on my own cars. I'm willing to work once or twice a week during the day or every once in a while at night (I work at night). The ideal situation would be for me to be able to simply give you my schedule for each week and you tell me when would work best for you, and I would come in those days and learn something... orrr you give me your schedule and I'll fit in somewhere... orrr you call me when you have jobs coming up that you're willing to share. I don't need pay or anything, just experience.
I'd buy you any meals I'm present for
As of now, I really have no idea what I'm doing in the shop. I've taken some high school auto classes and I try to learn from forums, but it's just too hard to figure stuff out on my own cars without some experience actually working on them. It's hard to be an internet mechanic.
I would like to be able to do everything mechanical and electrical. I don't care much for body work as of now, because it takes some serious funds for the tools, but if you do that too, I'm definitely willing to learn.
Restorations, backyard builders, full-on shop mechanics, modifications... you name it I want to learn it.
PM me or respond to this post if you or anyone you know would be willing to help a noob out
Thanks

good luck
shouldn't be too hard to make a few car friends around orlando.
just make sure they are working on cars, not stripping them.
