Default help in picking a muffler

Hey everyone,

I want to get a new muffler for my EP3 with keeping all the stock piping and what not. I just want something temporary for now that will make it a little bit louder and more enjoyable when I'm driving then the stock muffler. I just don't want a fart can and I'd really really want a dual tip muffler similar to the stock one. if you guys can help I'd really appreciate it. Thankss

Sounds like you need to go to your local mexican muffler shop and have them hook you up...

lol

I would personally get the Megan midpipe instead of a new muffler. It'll still sound stock during light throttle but slightly louder during full throttle. The stock midpipe is so puny.

But if he is looking for an aftermarket muffler with the OEM style I think Megan makes a dual tip just like it.

No smart-*** here... but when I was a neewb I learned how to do it correctly from the get go... do it once and do it right.

j/k literally a buddy got a exhaust ticket for a loud muffler, he sold it to me for $25 bucks and I literally went to the mexican muffler shop and had them weld it on... so I was being for real, go to the local mexi mufflers and have them hook you up! haahaha

Or spend a little extra cash, get a custom mandrel bent job done with a nice throaty sounding muffler and call it a day.

I had a custom set up a while ago that consisted of a cheapo straight through canister muffler, a Banzai resonator, and 2.5" piping from the cat back. In all I think it cost me about $300 total and sounded deep and throaty... not too raspy and fairly quiet at cruising speed.

If you're worried about pricing but still want the performance I'd go that route. Just a muffler is going to sound shitty, like a can of bees.

well i appreciate the comments on going for the midpipe and what not also. i was considering doing both mid pipe and muffler. i dont have the cash now to do the whole exhaust with down pipes and headers so relax everyone else. i am not looking to rice out my car so we can get that accusation out now lol
