I have a 96 honda civic dx. Days ago, I forgot to close my door and the cd player was stolen. After that, every time I open my driver door, a continuous beep will be on even if the engine is off. This never happened before that.
I installed a new cd player later and it can be turned on even if I havent plugged in my key. Now my battery will be dead if I havent driven my car for two days.
Anyone knows how I can fix the problem?

 

do you have a multi meter? and when you installed the radio. was the harness cut off?

 

I have a multi meter and the harness was not cut off. I just soldered some stiff copper wires to the wires of the cd player and plugged them into the harness according to the wire configuration on the internet.

 

Well there is the problem. a cheap harness would of took care of this. go and recheck your pin. I refuse to half assed this. go get the correct wire harness for your car. or cut the plug off and do it right.

But the beep happened before the cd player was installed. I'm not sure it matters or not.
