Accord suspension on crv
Just want to know if 98 - 02 accord struts would fit on a first gen crv.
Id like to run 98-02 accord tokico illuminas and gc coils.
I mesured my freinds 98 accords shocks the seemed to be about the same length.

The CRV shares the same top mount, spring seat and fork seat as just about every wishbone honda from the 90s.
The important part is running the right spring weights with matching shocks. Accord and CRV specific application suspension, have almost or exactly identical spring rates.

good question-
id like to know also, i would think compatibility is not an issue- very similar, but who knows?
i used civic ek shocks w/ 550 spring rate, extended top hats & 98-02 sleeves in the front.
spring rate is awesome, but the shock absorption is horrible; torture!
crv is a tank for those dinky 'ol shocks.
if this works, i wonder how accord shocks would ride with 550 spring rate...
how low can you go with accord shocks?
if crv top mounts fit accord coilovers, i would assume, ek extended top mounts would fit accord shocks as they do, 97-01 crv's-
correct me, if i am wrong.

word. i figured they would work. thanks for the confirmation.
does anyone happen to know what the length difference would be from a civic ek shock to an 98-02 accord shock?
i might just consider buying new front accord shocks for my V and trying them out with my coils if i can get the same stance...

you should do what i did and email koni
koni didnt specifically say that accord shocks will work but given the DIMs they gave me I see no reason why they wont work.

1999 Accord
8041 1257sport = Extended 19.05’’ - Collapsed 13.66’’.

very much similar in comparison of extended and compressed lengths for both accord and crv.
well, like i said in my previous post-
i am on ek shocks and i went this route for height advantage.
Im not exactly sure what the length is extended nor compressed, but i knows its shorter.
i dont think accord/crv shocks will give me the height i want.
its possible, my ek shocks are just defective...:/
maybe i should purchase another new set of ek struts for the front that are better than the oem replacements i have now.
it has to work, if other members use the same setup with no complaints...

so i have a 1997 honda accord built with a catback exhaust, as well as other things. but i want to convert it from an automatic fwd to a manual awd, I would like to know if i can buy a full drivetrain from the junkyard and just throw in the suspension components and then bolt in or weld the diffs and engine and trans into place. essentially everything but the crvs engine, cause mine is built.
