moded a hytec tri y for awd crv
i didnt want to be limited to stock or crappy header for my awd gsr crv build so i got the header i wanted, a hytec tri y, and modded it to work around the transfer case. if anyone wants details on how to make it work i'll be happy to share.

its hard to get a pic of but all that i did was cut the it in 2 different places. one side cleared the transfer case just fine so i cut it near the final collector. the other side that didnt clear the transfer case i cut right after the weld on the first collector(or right past the oil pan). i rotated the whole rear piece 45degrees and tacked it back on the pipe that clears the transfer case then used the section i cut out to bridge the other side. once that was tacked in i cut 2 pie cut pieces of stainless 304 tubing to fit in the gaps then welded it all up. i need to cut off the old o2 bung and weld a new one by the collector.

whole exhaust is going to be 2.5inch using a thunderbolt high flow cat, thrush glasspack and vibrant muffler.
my crv is getting a gsr swap here in a week or so

Id have to agree. lol. At least it works i guess, but scavenging from those 2 cylinders will be greatly decreased compared to the other 2. Im likely going to buy a header kit and just make my own from scratch to avoid issues like this.
It's not a real HyTech as it should have springs holding the two parts together. The bends are pretty sharp for an N/A vehicle... I don't have any pictures of the one I made years ago, but I can tell you it doesn't have to be that sharp. Either way, it's not going to make 'that' big of a difference with a stock GSR and 2.5" piping.
