Tranny or clutch seems screwed up
Hey I have a 93 civic LX with the d15b7. I was driving on the highway coming to a stop sign and I went to downshift into 2nd and heard a pop while the clutch was still in. I went to take off and the car was hopping around like when you pop the clutch just wrong and then all of a sudden I didnt have any gears at all. I can shift into any gear without the clutch in while the car is running and it doesnt move. Any ideas? the Axles seemed like they were still in the tranny
is the clutch pedal still moving the slave cylinder/clutch fork? if yes, then i'd say the clutch definitely **** the bed on you.
Tear it apart (as you are going to have to regardless) if you see pecies of clutch everywhere then you clutch is gone, if its still intact and in good working order then you will need to open up the tranny. If you still get good gear definition when shifting through the gears then i would place my money on the clutch.
alright guys this took me forever to get around to due to me redoing the rest of the car. I finally seperated the transmission and found clutch material everywhere. Now my next question is could i have possibly broke my shift fork in the process? I kind of forced it into 2nd when that all happened (dummy me). I read that shifter forks are easy to break on d series transmissions so that has me all scared. Should i just throw a clutch in and try it? im far from an expert on transmissions
