HELP! Clutch/Tranny may be broken..
Car: Honda Civic 97
Motor: Jdm b16a, hydro.
Hey everyone, I would really appreciate the help here. So the story is, I was driving on the freeway, and all of a sudden it popped out of 5th gear (it's not low fluids, did that) and I hear a grinding sound, so I pulled over to the side. I can still shift into 1,2,3 gears fine, but 4th gear is totally locked up and I can't shift into it at all. I can shift into 5th but, if i tried driving on it, it makes a crazy metal grinding noise. I can drive on 1,2,3 gear fine, but there there is a grinding noise when I'm rolling regardless of what gear its in. Any ideas???
Will a clutch kit replacement be the solution? I'm hoping it's not the whole tranny.
Thank you! Any help will be greatly appreciated!

you didn't mention reverse. have you looked under the car? it's a long shot.. but maybe something got wedged or bent up and is inhibiting the shifter's motion.
otherwise, there is a good chance something has failed inside your transmission in a curious and unusual manner.

Reverse is fine too, I'll check underneath. I had a buddy look at it, and he said it was the tranny. But I'll tell ya whats up after I check it.
I checked underneath, nothing =/ but here is a video I found of another car that has a tranny that sounds like what I'm experiencing:

Let me know what you think. It's probably the tranny huh
