I assume that it cranks and moves.

1) if you are in Kalifornia.... does it pass smog? With the miles of vacuum hoses the carb is a real pain to deal with. The 1300 has less smog system but it is a bummer to fail smog. You can get a day permit/pass from DMV or AAA to go to a smog station.

2) how many miles, how much rust if any, check the door/fender area

3) how is the inside, seats?

The 1300 is more of a commuter than a powerhouse... 4 speed, not an automatic?

I think so, but I'm a little biased. The body seems to be in pretty decent shape.

the car is registrated and driven on the street, it has 202k miles, only some rust on the bottom corner of the car. redone inside, 4 speed

If you fix it up you want have to worry about seeing its twin while driving down the road. I think their is 1 on the road where i live. I like that body style.

From the pics, it looks to be in awesome shape. Much better than 90% of the 1g/3g's around this area.

For sure it's worth it. If mine was half that nice, I'd be doing the same. Instead I'm just looking for the right cliff to drive her off of.

You should be able to get 50 mpg with it! The 1.3's are excellent on gas mileage. They also have less vacuum lines than others.
