Icon6 Integra ABS modulator failure?

I've been trying to diagnose a low pedal issue and have ruled out everything except the ABS hydraulic unit. This is a 97 ITR, which I think came with the smaller unit that came all 98+ Integras. I believe a wheel outlet valve may be leaking requiring additional volume (more pedal travel) as the fluid fills the accumulator inside the hydraulic unit. Then when the accumulator is full, the pedal finally firms up.

Does anyone have any experience with failures of the H.U. ?
Does the smaller unit indeed come on all 98+ ABS Integras?
Does anyone have a spare for sale?

To verify I'm planning to bypass the ABS unit by teeing the lines at the hydraulic unit ports.
