bad alt or bad batt
Ok this is my second accord in 9 years. My story is that I blew my b2 and replaced it with a low milage b1 but used b2 dizzy harness and ecu. I finally brought the car home today but charged the battery because after five months it was dead. Its under a year old and advanced said its fine and driving home my speakers sounded like **** before the radii just cut off. Next the car wouldn't start back up after I parked. Wtf? I don't have a battery light at all while the car is running and I didn't have the problem before the new motor. Also my alt now whines like a bad dizzy but this is also new. Bad alt with no batt light? Which fuses control it?
Battery is only there for start up. Alt provides electricity while running. Sounds like the alt went bad and you're only running on battery power. Check all the connections first then have the alt tested.
I would cut out any guess work and check for voltage while running. IMO 13.5 and higher and the alternator is good, anything lower than that and it might be ready for a new one. good luck

lol it only rains when i want to accomplish something dealing with one of my cars. besides that its typical florida gulf coast heat. aka 100% humidity daily and 99 degrees plus
its a 95 and I went and got the batt fully charged this time. With my radii and amp off I get 13.6-13.8 but when there on with head lights I get 12.9-13.1
Ok when the amp was on for about five minutes I noticed that the voltage dropped to 12.2 and this time when I pulled the positive terminal off the car cut off. Sooooo is my alt going bad or is it a fuse that's blown and is arching
Alternator is bad. It needs to be able to 1: supply your vehicle's electrical needs 2. charge your battery that you drained when starting the car
When you pulled the battery the alternator couldn't supply enough electricity to power your car and it died. Therefore, your alternator is bad.

The voltage drop is too low. The alt is likely junk. I do not recall if there is an alternator fuse, but it wouldn't hurt to check for one before replacing the alternator. Also make sure the drive belt is properly tensioned.
ok last night is the first time i actually drove the car since i noticed the batt was drained.....yup got the batt light (alt) finally so its just time to change it out. thanks guys
According to the Haynes Repair Manual. The fuse should be #4. I checked it but it does not say alternator. It should be 7.5 volts fuse.
That should tell you that your alternator is bad.
