Default 07 FA5 vs 09+ FA5 rear upper control arms?

OK guys, I've been searching for hours and my eyes are starting to hurt.

I have a 2007 FA5 and it's eating rear tires, so after reading TSB 08-001, it includes every model except the SI, although they use the same exact rear upper control arm. So my car is not included in the TSB fix.

I have a couple of options and questions.

1: Do I just come out of pocket and order the TSB fix part 04523-SNA-A01?

or

2: Will the 09+ FA5 rear upper control arm fit onto the older body style? If so, do I order those, since Honda updated them during the mid model change?

Thanks,
Tim

first of all.... are you on spring, coilovers. are you on aftermarket rims? If so what size rim. Tire size. the more details you give the better answers your gonna get.

^that is irrelevant.

Don't do anything out of pocket for that TSB. If everything is free, then go ahead. They are merely replacing the upper arm with a new one that is fixed and slightly longer and may or may not fix the issue. Instead, BUY a rear adjustable camber kit and ask the alignment shop to get camber AND toe as close to zero.

I'm unsure if it was a ninja move, but honda also has an updated alignment spec for civics...i have seen cars with the updated arms (stamped with a white "c") chew up tires, so i sent them to the alignment rack for the updated alignment spec, lo and behold, problem fixed (after a new set of tires, unfortunately) not too sure if this applies well to the Si, but i really don't get that many in the shop, as compared to the kabillion 06-11 civics

Nothing is free under a TSB, unless you're still inside your factory warranty, I prefer using only OEM parts, so as a last resort I may install an adjustable camber kit.

This is getting closer to actually answering my question. Thanks for the info on the updated alignment specs, but Honda may not have updated them for the Si, as it's not included in the TSB, even though the rear upper control arms are the same exact P/N as the other trim level sedans of that year...

That would be great, I won't be doing anything about it for about a month, in the middle of moving, so all my tools are packed up right now

Great, so I will talk with the dealership and if they won't cover the TSB, than I will be getting the TSB kit and then taking it in for an alignment
