Rotor "rubs" on back left only when turning.. wtf!!
Just got my car back together, all new brakes and bushings in the rear end of both sides, and I went for a shake down run and notice that I get a rotor rbbing noise when going around a turn, at any speed, when the brakes arent applied, and the noise instantly goes away when I straighten out.
Its only coming from the back left but I see now signs of wear and everything is tight
What do you guys think it could be??

Ill check out the dust shield again, i just cant recreate the noise while spinning the rotors with the car i the air, everything sounds mint, but as soon as you go around a corner.. bam, rubbage
if its rubbing or scraping there should be visible evidence pull the rotor off and look for "bright" spots where metal is hitting metal
dont know how I didnt think of this, but my car doesnt have a backing plate on the rear brakes. I pulled the wheel off just now with the intention of checking the clearance, but there was no plate lol
I took off the caliper and rotor, inspected the pads, everything looked good so I put it all back together.
Took it for a drive and the noise is still present only when turning....
What could it be that would only rub when turning!!

bearing possibly?? I feel no play in the wheel with the car on the ground, didnt check with it in there air
I dont get why it makes this noise

could definitely be a bad wheel bearing sometimes when they initially start to fail you cant feel the play without a load on them ...also check your torque on the bearing if not properly torqued it can effect bearing preload and could cause the symptom you're describing
how would I check the torque on the bearing? I dont quite know how to get to it, after I take the caliper and rotor off what do I do from there?
I almost wanna just change the hub/bearing whatever I need to to fix this problem, its super annoying and I need this car to be reliable

Try tAking off the rear tire and spinning the hub. If there is any grinding noise it might be time to change. Compare to the opposite side to get a better feel if it is faulty.

Take the small dust cap off the center of the hub/bearing assembly and torque the nut - #41 in the above picture.
I will also agree that it sounds like a wheel bearing issue. Either an improperly seated assembly or excessive play. But if there was excessive play you should hear a low grumbling noise from that wheel most, if not all, of the time. With the wheel on the car and the weight off (in the air) press and pull on the top and bottom of the wheel. If it rocks back and forth your bearing is more than likely bad and should be replaced.
Had this problem before. It was actually my caliper mounting bolts.
Take a flashlight and look between the back of the rotor and where mounting
Holes are. If you see any portion of the bolt you need to add a washer or a couple
So it doesnt rub when you turn.

Caliper bolts are seated properly, verified that after your post again though. The wheel spins fine and free when in the air, no rotor contact at all, just going around a left turn it kisses it and drives me crazy
