**B16 Transmission Issues**
I have searched and searched and have came up empty handed so im on here hoping someone could help. I have a 00 Civic Si transmission that has issues, i start the car and with clutch pressed in as soon as i put it in gear the car dies while the clutch pedal is to the floor. I took the trans out and that shaft spins maybe 1/4" either direction and locks ,up it shifts through all gears perfect, so i took the case apart and searched and searched and found no damage. With the case open everything spins freely but upon reassembly it locks up, i made sure the tab on the washer is lining up perfectly with the case also. When i put the big wsher with the allignment tab on the shaft i can hold it tight with one hand and try to spin the shaft with the other hand and its still bound up...im stumped. It seems like the gear/ synchro hub under the washer with the case alignment tab is whats causing it but im not sure.. Any help would be appreciated
Shafts assembled wet, it was running and driving fine for last few years then all of the sudden it just locked up when i tried to take off from my house. No grinding, popping, or any other noises at all. shifted perfect when the car wasnt running also. Its something on the input shaft on the far end not the "bell housing" end. I am trying to upload pics but it keeps saying failed, i will try again later this evening
