How much is this worth? Thinking of buying an authentic JDM ITR regged as USDM LS
I'm currently in the market for a Type-R, someone semi-local is offering me an authentic JDM Integra Type-R with black housing HID jdm head lights, red recaros, B20 vtec motor that's semi-built, if I remember correctly the owner told me it was around 225hp at the crank. The car also has USDM ITR wheels and is a '98 spec R (champ white). Since it's an authentic RHD JDM car the owner registered it as a USDM LS with a VIN conversion apparently..
I would appreciate if you guys gave your $.02 about what this car's value and potential re-sale value is considering everything. Thank you in advance.

Let me catch you driving this, you will be in jail for tampering with a vin, chop shop activity, owning an illegal car, driving an illegal car on the street, fictitious tags, no insurance, and the list goes one. We can hit you will the registration and insurance charges because the car is registered as a diff car, if that makes sense.
And we will own your car. and most probably crush it just because.
Stay clear of that car, most of the time with a RHD car you can either get the 10 didget Vin titled or it gets a re issued vin from your dmv.
Vin swapping on the other hand is a whole diff ball game.
What is he asking for it?

if the motor is semi-built it cannot be making 225hp
motor has to be fully built to be even running. half assembled motor can run? doesnt make sense

In the first pic , the front end looks to be a different color white than the rest of the car. Ten bucks says its just a rhd conversion. IMO dont waste ur money on it. For the simple reason you cant get that car insured for the value you are gonna pay for it.
I bet 90%, That this guy did a RHD conversion and is feeding you BS that it is a real JDM ITR.
And if it is VIN swapped, Stay away, Or buy it cheap for part out.

Not to mention the black engine bay. lol. Car is def a RHD conversion. Still tho, don't buy it. Stick to USDM R's :D
Tell him to send you a pic of the antenna. Also tell him to send you pics of all the vins. As said that car looks like a complete conversion
if that car really is a conversion the stupidity of the seller amazes me. why he would present his car as multiple felonies when it isn't is......
i'm not sure there's even a word for it

After thinking about it and reading these posts it is amazing that the seller of this Integra has even offered me a car that is defrauding the department of licensing so blatantly.
I have requested pictures of the "VIN conversion" on the firewall and several other of the areas where "VIN conversions" were performed.
Somewhere in Oregon, yes.
The owner's estimate of its value was said to be roughly $9-11k
