Have a blown D15B2 engine. Found a D15B7 engine. Can I put my DPFI intake and everything that came with that engine into the D15B7 engine? Will the transmission mate to the D15B7 engine?

Fan switch is in a different location. It's on the back of the block of the B2 but on the B7 it's on the thermostat housing.

 

Thanks for the info. One more thing , are the engine mounts point the same ?

 

no use your b2 mounts.
once you get your b7 on the bay you will have to extend the fan switch then your good....

 

Finally got an engine from the junkyard, check it and installed it. Idid not realize it was a D15B1 until all work was performed. It started right up, but misfires and carbon fouled the spark plugs. However since my ECU was underwater, I am guessing it could be the cause. I bought a used PM 5 ecu on ebay. Hope that solves my acceleration and misfiring problems.
