Default Any Downs of removing the FIV?

i know the ups, but what avout the downs? does it do something bad to the engine?

i tried running my car with the FIv removed (when it went bad) i blocked it off. Car wouldnt idle for ****... just died until it was warmed up. Seems to me until the cars in closed loop it needs the FIV since the EACV isnt really being used??? who knows.. maybe my car is stupid.
