cold air intake question

Icon2 cold air intake question

Hey, this might be a dumb question but uhhhhhh, I have a 1998 civic hatch with a gsr swap and I want to get a cold air intake for it but I'm confused on what intake to get. Do I get an intake for a 96-2000 civic hatchback? or a 96-2000 integra gsr? I'm unsure of which one to buy :/

whatever motor you have i believe, it shouldnt make a difference cept in diameter of pipe

I was more worried about the direction of the piping if you know what I mean, as in. I dont want to buy a integra cai and then have that hoe run into the radiator instead of the hole in the wheel well lol

get1 thats compatible with the 99-00 si them are b series sood be good with that

Is this your final answer???

You need to get the intake that accomodates your TB position.
If you have a stock GSR intake manifold, then you will need the Intake system designed for Acura Integra GSR, as the elbow has a couple/few bends in it to accomodate the lower position of the TB. If you have a skunk2 manifold, or other single plenum IM on your car then go with the above.

AEM system made for GSR
Comptech GSR Intake (real nice peice IMO)

Exactly sir, well said.

I was only trying to buy a pipe that would go from my GSR TB to the hole inside the wheel well. Budget or brand isn't an issue. Just wanting to make sure a Integra GSR cold air would work inside my 98 ek hatch or If i needed a civic intake.

You could always get mandrel bent piping and take it to a local welding shop to have them weld something up. Piping must be clean and have perfect joints, not jagged ends that don't match up from cutting haphazardly with a hacksaw...

go with stillen and they have which intake goes with what car and swap
i got my 3in cai into my eg hatch with type r swap and it bolted right up to the car engine bay

Honestly? I would have a local shop make one for you out of 3" aluminum mandrel piping. You'll save about $100, it will be yours and yours alone.
