If u have the money, sleeve it and do a fully built LS/VTEC, ie. pistons pistons, rods, vtec head, dual valve springs, retainers, itr or ctr or aftermarket cams and so on. You can use use a type r, gsr, or b16 oil pump, they're all the same. Your limit is how much you wanna put into it.

If you threw a rod, there would be a hole in the block and you would see that lol.

i dont think you would have any oil pressure if throwing a rod and more than likely your car would have stalled. its could be a couple of things, bearings, oil line, head gasket or something else. I am only familiar to the bearings going.

Sounds like you spun a rod bearing most likely. On a LS motor you almost need ARP rod bolts at that power level or you risk stretching the rod bolts. Yes if you have the money have the block sleeved but forged pistons and H beam rods will handle 400whp ish on stock sleeves.

New style of block guard where they CNC mill the sleeve at the top to seat the guard better so that it doesnt apply uneven pressure across all 4 cylinders.
