Is this my thermostat?
I am unsure about what's happening. The car runs fine, but today and just today (for now) the car's temp needle went to 2/3 HOT. I quickly turned on heat and it went down. Also, it seems that it's taking awfully long for the heater to get warm. I have my fan wired to a switch (which I have on most of the time.)
Is this my thermostat or am I missing something?

when was the last time you had the cooling system flushed? Fan spins the right way?
I'm about to go pick up a thermostat for my 93 Cx. Can someone tell me how I change this part out? Pics of this would be great! I am going to flush the coolant as well.
Yesterday, my car was idleing like $hit at red lights and the temp. gauge is going up and down like a roller coaster.
Thanks!

While your at the parts store, pick up a Haynes. I think they're about $15. It should cover the thermostat install. After that if you want to tackle bigger things get a Helms. Helminc.com I think they're about $66 shipped.
I am thinking about rebuliding the Cx engine so maybe I'll pick up a Helms for it after I do the GSR swap. Can you believe I am actually going to try and do this swap with the little knowledge I have
.....but, I'll have my pops there who knows a good bit, a couple of friends, and of course the boards
