Help please...cooling fan acting up!!!
whats goin on guys....i have this little problem....i had my car sold but it so happens that it started raining today like crazy, i was driving my car and i kinda like hit a puddle of water so i keep driving cause i wasnt goin fast. my boy looks at the temperature and im overheating, so i stop and pull over let it cool down...i just replaced the thermostat...the fuse to the cooling fan is not popped. also whenit over heated the fan wasnt turning on and the reserve tank was full with antifreeze and last but not least the cap to the reserve tank was loose....any ideas??? i need help please...thanx

When you replaced the thermostat did you bleed the cooling system? Does the fan turn on? Did you fill the cooling system with enough coolant?

when i replaced the thermostat i didnt bleed the system, i was in a hurry which was stupid of me. and yes the fan was turning on then....now is not

Bleed the system, should fix your problem.

and by the way, it did have enough coolant...i think...i had to run a wire to the positive on the battery to turn the fan...and it worked fine...but why isnt the fan turning on?

You said the fan was working ok...but by bypassing the fan temp sensor it should turn on if the fan is good. I would bleed the system and see if the fan turns on, if it doesn't you may have to replace your fan temp sensor. Read this thread for great info:
