JUN III owners
for those of you ITR owner's using the JUN stage III setup, what is your setup and what are your power numbers looking like? i'm debating on getting this setup with the JUN programmed ecu. just curious as to pros and cons of this setup and if you're happy with the results? is the idle ok, someone told me it feels almost like stock. TIA
JUN cams idle like stock and are one of the most streetable high lift cams out there and there ECU's are good for plug and play but if you want the best all around umpf out of them Hondata or a stand alone will obtain better gains that the JUN ECU due to the fact that all motors are not = so some react differently to certain settings

Then what do they do?
. oh and you can get the whole crank, high compression pistons etc to go with this setup, but that is $$$$. just trying to see what other people got for their JUN III's thas all, see what i can work with...
yea tell me more about this. i'm still confused on which direction to go. turbo or NA. NA i was deciding to go with the jun 3's package setup, but still lost. =p
speak to the guys at factor X. They tune cars using jun stuff. I think they are located in fullerton. speak with these guys first. jun stuff doesn't sound stock Ive sat in some of there tuned Itr's they know what there doing. just some simple advice. give them a call
Then what do they do?
i'm not sure on the EXACT details, but you basically take your motor to JUN usa. they open it up, dyno, just your motor specs, etc etc (donno exact details) send the specs to JUN japan, than jun japan sends back a mapped ecu for your motors exact specifications. than they do your head work, cams, gears, springs, retainer's etc. plug in your new ecu and take it to get dyno'ed and tuned some more. made sense to me when they explained the process, but it is quite expensive to do this. so i'm not sure if i should just go with hondata which is cheaper, or go with their setup which made sense to me, but i donno too much about it so maybe i'm just a n00b

Don't get me wrong. I love my JUN ECU, never reget buying it. Hassle free and guarunteed to work the first time and everytime.

I have a noticable different idle with the Juns. You could say it sounds 'lumpy' and is way deeper than a stock cam'ed ITR or any honda fot that matter. I have the full meal deal, ecu everything. It sounds very mean. If you were to line me up to a stock camed R with same everything else, you would hear the differnce. But it does idle perfectly. Nothing but great things to say. I have not got a chance to dyno my setup as of yet.

Hondata here... Like they said before each ride is different. JUN gets close, but not specific. Sounds a lil lumpier when cold, but when warmed up it sounds like stock... sleeper
2 reasons to get hondata
1. every r engine reacts similar, yet different to same mods.
2. at some point you might want to change your setup, or even cams, doubt jun ecu will keep up with the changes

220 whp with Jun 3's and what else?
I have considered JUN 3's for a while now and will go AEM EMS if I do decide on the JUNs. Stand alone is much easier to tune specifically to your setup than a chip ever could be as far as extracting every last drop of power so why pay JUN 1300 for their ecu when you can have a programable engine management system from AEM for less?
Also what injector size would be good for JUN 3's 310's... 370's ???
Its quite an expensive option but considering the power gains and drivability its a hard combo to turn down.

you ever try hondata
best bang for the buck, if you in CA you have plenty of hondata tuners over there. just go hondata, save yourself some headaches and alot of money
