Default Should I tune.

Maybe a dumb question, But i ve been running a del sol with the owner since last year. Motor is just a B17 GSR motor. Nothing really done to it.
Skunk2 alpha header straight pipe to magnaflow muffer at rear bumper.
MSD ignition. Still have the stock airbox. 92 octain pump gas. (best we have in nova scotia)

I ve been thinking about getting a Wideband, but before that i figured id ask everyone hear. The motor runs good and strong and uses about 1/4L of oil for a 15 lap race. 1:20 lap times. oil consuption hasnt been any worse since the header was install but every so often it revs up and down at idle and last race weekend the CEL came on and the car would not idle. Turned it off and turned kill switch off and no more problems.but then after the first 15 lap race, we let it idle after the race to cool, shut it down, restarted it 1 hour latter and had a misfire, just till it was up to temp, then it worked great for the rest of the day. So plugs look good, compression is good. running a 5-40w lubra moly oil. What do you guys think. Get the wideband and tune it or is this normal. I figure ill take the idle air contol valve off and clean it at least.

Any help would be great. Ive ran my D15B7 EG civic at the track for 4 years now,and autocrossed for 6 and it has 270,000KMS. Still pulling great never had any problems with it, So now that this B17 motor is acting up i want to make sure we fix it before the august double event. I dont like break downs on raceday. lol.

Yes, put it on a dyno. If not for anything else then to see your AFR's in your powerband.

You would be going a good thing by getting it dyno tuned.

Might be good to get it tuned. I put a hytech rep header and bigger exhaust this year on my gsr and I thought it wouldn't change the AFR's much, but it did.
