I have been wondering for a couple of months now if I swapped my ZC engine from my 92 European Del Sol and installed any 4 cylinder Accord engines, would it be a good idea or not?!

However, I heard that if I did it, I could face problems in the future with the axles and they would break often after awhile.

My questions are;

- am I going to face any problems if I swapped any Accord's engines in my Sol?

- Is it a good idea to swap an accord engine? if so, which type of the accord engines would fit the most and cause the least problems to my Sol?

- How many horsepowers does the engine produces?


NOTE: the Engine I am getting is European.

ive got the h22 in my teg for like 9 years now and still love it .. as well as a h22 swaped del sole .. the car feels light

i would do the h but not the f as there is too much work to put it in for the power you will get

 

h22 is an amazing engine true, but I don't have enough money to afford that engine right now and I might either swap it in my del so or I might even put a v6 in it, as for now I am planning to change the engine due to its problems, One of my friends swapped a v6 in a 2000 civic and the problem he faced was the oversteer cuz the car is very light-weighted and the engine is unbelievably produces horrifying power!
anyway, a friend of my brother's told me its better to change my current engine and fit in an accord engine which will give me more power than the engine I have at the moment with the amount of cash i got

he said that it won't give him any trouble installing the engine as it will fit directly and there will be no obstacles for him :\ I felt its wrong cuz I know that when you swap a bigger engine in most of the cars you need to change the axles, block etc..

Its true that its good to have power in an amazing thing specially for a small car !!, but I won't be doing much street racing cuz sadly the GT-R'S and LS' engines are running high everyday on the streets :\ ! that's why in 5 years I am thinking of a big project a v6 would be beasty for the del sol

if you have the money to drop a v6 into the delsol than save your self about $2000 and put a h22 into it

unless your putting a d16 back into it .. its going to cost

new fuel lines

also upgraded brakes and suspension are a plus as the h is 125 lb more and j is ?
