Hey guys, I'm finishing my k swap and have one thing left...the car I have now is a CX and my previous car was a DX...the CX doesn't have the intermittent setting for the windshield wipers and I live in Seattle where it rains like every 23 seconds so it would be nice to have that option...I took the multi switch off the DX and switched it over to the CX but the intermittent setting won't work now...the lo and hi both work and the int worked when It was in my other car...the motors are all the same for all EG's so that shouldn't matter, any ideas what it might be???

 

The integrated control unit controls the intermittent wiper function. I think the CX lacks the wires that run from the wiper switch to the integrated control unit.

 

anychance u know the pinout for that i wouldnt mind the int function on my cx cause i have a switch from a dx also

 

They both have the same 7 wires coming from the switch and the same 5 wires going to the motor, what's in between lol?

 

You need the five ICU wires that pin to A8, A9, A10, B5 and B15.

 

It's a straight ICU swap. If you follow my DIY for an Integra ICU swap it will also give you intermittent wipers and an OEM lights-on indicator chime. An even easier swap would be to get one from a 96-00 LX or EX (possibly others) ... these all have intermittent wiper, integrated lights-on indicator ... and with one additional wire, you get combined wiper/washer action (ie., when you spray your windshield, the wiper automatically goes on for a couple of wipes).

I have actually retrofit an ICU from a CR-V which gives me all those above features as well as a rear intermittent wiper.

I was looking for something with icu or wipers in the title lol not the headlights on chime haha buy it's all good! I found it and I'm gonna go to a junk yard today to get one!
