Default My 92 accord needs help {check post}

I have a 92 accord I just bought and I know nothing about them, besides the basics. I bought it Friday and only got it a total of 15 miles in 4 days. It was doing great and I almost made it home and the car started to lose power, then it started to backfire on me when I pressed the gas, at idle it runs smooth. I am thinking it could be the injectors or fuel filter but not sure. I have very little history of this car and what it has been though but by looking it over I can tell it has sat up for a few years. Also during the time I was sitting on the side of the road the battery went dead and I just bought a new one. I need some insight on Honda's and the everyday issues they have if anyone wants to share their knowledge with me. Out of funds and idea's at this point. Thanks in advance

turn the key on to acc the where all the lights on the dash come on. does the check engine light turn on for a couple of seconds then go off? if it doesnt come on before you do anything fix that problem you could have a check engine light and not even know it.

If it sat for a while, could be stale fuel, or possibly the fuel filter couldve clogged due to crap in fuel tank. Have fuel pressure checked, make sure all cylinders getting fire.

^Agreed. There's a fuel pressure test port on top of the fuel filter. Screw in a pressure tester and get a reading. It should be around 40, IIRC.
