Default at a loss with vband flange

so i ordered a 4" vband flange and its too big for my hot side of my turbo, but the 3 inch is too small! im thinking either to get a 3.5 inch or could i just weld the flange i already just bought onto the hot side of my turbo? im not experienced in this type of area so i figured id ask a few of you and see if it made sense to do something like this. the turbo is a bw s360, and the inner diameter of the vband flange is 4" that i just purchased. the outer diameter of the hot side of the turbo matches the i.d of the flange. can i have this piece welded onto the hot side of the turbo? or is that a bad idea to do something like this???

Your outlet is 4.21"
You need a BW specific v-band flange & clamp. Google it.

^ Exactly. Turbo manufacturers have specific vbands designated for their turbos. Precision is the same way.

Yes if you don't mind running a 4" DP or a reducer

So the obx vband ring will sit evenly with the turbo I have? I'm not talking about the I.d. I'm talking about the o.d. of the ring. The one I had was wayy too big and the I.d. was the part that sat flush with the o.d. of the housing. I need both the o.d.'s to match up. Not vice versa

It's close enough that it doesn't leak
