1994 EX Vtec Accord Knocking?
I purchased this Accord all bummed up from a guard rail and put a new front end on it with the use of google and some slide hammer training. Replaced the vtec gasket and changed the oil. Oil did seem a little low when I got it, but had been recently changed and looked clean. Not too low though. Obv was leaking bad from the solenoid. After getting it running I noticed a peculiar noise, sort of sounds like a knock, but only seems to be at low rpms like 1700-2000 and maybe a little above. This video is right after a 5w-30 oil change 200k miles.
I also cleaned the egr ports and it still makes this noise. I have also noticed a few times while driving the CEL will come on, the car will run like crap and not want to accelerate till i force it over 2k, then it seems to do fine. I did not notice this noise when this happened, I restarted the car the noise came back and the car ran fine with no CEL. I dont have access to an OBDI Reader. I also could be imagining the noise going away.
Also I have a hard time noticing the noise while in drive. (It is an Auto)
I have been told everything from the noise being a bad rod bearing to, normal engine noise, to the torque converter.

The ticking at idle is normal valve adjustment ticking. That knock under load is not normal.
What do your spark plugs look like.
Hard to tell if it is coming from the combustion area or the lower engine. If it is from the lower engine it is more than likely a bearing/rod issue. if it is top end it could be an issue with improper ignition, knock/pre-ignition.
If you do not have access to a mechanics stethoscope you can use a long handled screw driver. One long enough to touch the base of hte block and you put your ear to the other end. This will allow you to hear the noise better, it will be louder in the specific area.

It sounds like its coming out of the block, I havent done the stethoscope trick yet, but perhaps I will. I am trying to get rid of it before I find out for sure what the problem is. I have run it hard a few times and it didnt seem to mind, pulled strong and no change in the sound.
Spark plugs are clean but perhaps a bit pink/ white in color. No oil on them. I just ran seafoam through it after this vid as well. Sorta looks like maybe its running lean?
