AC with r12 works great......except when its 100+ outside
on a normal south carolina summer day around lunch time i was able to get about 45-48 degrees at the vent. but here recently when its 100+ outside it doesn't do crap as far as cooling.
some have said its a sign of something under performing. some say its a freon issue. some say its just the way it is when its 100+ outside in an old car.
im not sure which way to turn. add freeze 12 since it seems to be working fine? convert to 134 and be done with it?
thoughts?

and the windows aren't tinted.....yet! i actually just got an appointment for this saturday.
a performance check can at least tell you how the compressor is acting pressure wise, how much is in the system etc...good luck and keep us posted!
