2006 Accord Bumper Damage - Trade-in as-is or repair?
Hi,
I have a 2006 Accord 4dr sedan LX that I am hoping to trade-in for a newer model.
I do have a cracked bumper and a missing grille that I never repaired. My question is, should I:
1. Do not repair and trade-in as-is?
2. Repair at a Honda body shop
3. Repair at a non-Honda body shop
4. Order a new bumper online before taking it to the body shop
Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

I would probably try to find one the same color in a salvage yard first, which would probably be the cheapest. Otherwise, the car dealer could probably fix it cheaper than you can.
PS: You could get more for the car by selling it yourself, than trading in. Selling a car yourself can be a hassle, for some people though, so whatever. I got $1600 more selling my 92, than I would have gotten on trade-in.

I am moving in the next month / purchasing a car before I go. I am not firm on which I will do, although time is not on my side. When you trade in, you do save on the tax but that does not quite make up the difference.
They'll try to get you to take less because it has "damage". The bumper cover and grill are some of the easiest pieces to replace. It takes like 5 minutes to take the bumper cover off, it's all plastic body pins and a couple of screws. Find replacements here: http://www.car-part.com/ and do it yourself with a flathead and a Phillips head screwdriver.
You can find a new bumper and grill for your Honda from a company called crash and rust the bumper is 46.00 and the grill is25.00 then take to the body shop you should be able to paint and install for a couple hundred dollers
