Help, My AC stalls my car!
Car runs fine when the ac is not used but when i turn on the ac my car stalls.
I've cleaned the IACV and raised idle 200 rpm but still stalls.
I'm stumped and don't want to take it in
I have a 90 civic hatch all stock

I just charged it 2 weeks ago but It was completely empty and I put 2 12oz cans in
i changed the ac compressor 2 months ago and the system didn't have power so i bypassed it so the clutch stays engaged all the time. I did't start having the stalling issue until a week ago

If the clutch is engaged all the time, you are over-pressurizing the system and probably damaged your new compressor. Need to fix the wiring issue and then try again.
Clutch issue is simple. Either the air gap is too big (push on it with a stick and see if it slams closed, shim it if it does) or the magnets are done for.
If you've been driving the compressor the whole time, you'll need to check more than the compressor. Throw some gauges on there, see if there's even refrigerant in the system. If not, put some in and see if it hold pressure, otherwise you have to find the leak. And wire it all up right.

When I bought my CRX the AC worked fine. Then the compessor went out. Once the new (rebuilt) compessor was installed and running my car would die like yours is doing with the AC on. I was told the new setup did this and the old one didn't because of all of the new components - just pulled more than the 23 yr old setup.
Turned out my cam timing was off one tooth. The car seemed to run fine being out of time, the only indication I had that something may have been wrong was the MPGs were in the low 30's.
A stretch I know but setting the timing fixed my issue.
Good luck.
