haynes manual
guys, i'm just curious about the haynes manual, i'm about to buy the helms, but if you compare the haynes manual (14$) vs Helms Manual (70$ or around) it makes the haynes manual like a coloring book. Is the haynes manual good for something? i just want opinions and please don't flame me about the helms, i just want to know, i know the Helms is #1, i'm not arguing this, i just wanted to know how good is the haynes manual. thanks
haynes: basic stuff like tightening torque figures. Poor diagrams. I just come here and online to find better pics. Find yer diagrams at majestichonda or whatever that site is. Worth the $14. Depends what you want to do with it...basic main? or engine overhaul?
Spend the extra cash for the Helms. If you do any work at all on your own, you will save $70 in labor the first time you use it.
It pays for itself
On the other hand, you may find coloring your haynes manual an enjoyable way to relax and de-stress...personally, i prefer

ive relied on my haynes manual alot .. ive had it for about 4 years and its basically covered everything ive needed.. the pictures are OK but not the greatest sometimes but its better than some other manuals ive seen. i just go on HT for info on other peoples experiences and advice.. the haynes is well worth the 14 bucks

well, i just bought my helms! it was 70 incluiding shipping, and as for the haynes, i have the haynes for my land cruiser and i tought it was pretty good but short on some aspects, so i guess is worth the 14 bucks.
