OBD0 TO OBD1 CHECKING CHECK ENGINE LIGHT

Default OBD0 TO OBD1 CHECKING CHECK ENGINE LIGHT

HEY HOW U DOING I HAVE A EF SEDAN I NEED TO CHECK OUT WAT MY CODE IS ON MY CHECK ENGINE LIGHT IS.. I HAVE OBD0 TO OBD1 JUMPER HARNESS DONT REMBER HOW TO RETRIVE THE CODES.. ANY HELP THANKS

Obd0 has codes directly on ECU.
Obd1 needs the service connector to be jumped. It is located in passenger foot well. it looks like a sensor that is loose. take a paperclip or wire and connect both open ends together.

once that is done, turn key on to IGNITION ON only. no need to start car. CEL lamp will blink. count the blinks. record them.

Im sure you know how to find out what blinks mean what. And also can find your way to see what numbers mean what.

i know to find the codes and see wat the problem is but i was trying to figure out wat wire it is that i ground ir ember in my old ef it was a yellow wire... but not sure about this one..

I just told you where it was . I think the color is gray btw. damn

Before you go off on people read what is posted. The OP has an ecu jumper, which means the scs (service check signal) wire is most likely left loose and just need to be grounded.

OP, you can find this wire on D4.

On my ecu jumpers I wire them up so you can still use the stock service connector.

Wire colors for D4 vary on who makes the jumper. Just ground the wire and your Check engine light will flash your code

well thanks bro.... yes i drive a ef sedan..... and its obd0 with obd1 jumper harness.... so yes i rember on my old one it was a yellow sinlge wire that needed to be grounded....
