Default Cool Suit Alternative?? (EB Ice)

Today I come in to work and on my desk, was what looks like a cool suit setup. It is made by EB Ice, it is a medical compony that make pads for backs, feet, ect. It has a 120v plug but it output 12v DC. On ebay they are $50 for smaller cooler, than cool suit, lines, and pump. Still need to buy shirt and controller.

This is what one looks like. To in a car I need to figure out how to seal lid and mounting it in car.

Today when I got it home I looked at it a little closer, it does already have a build in timer adjuster. It is not as nice as the real racing ones. Also the lines for the water make it need to site inside the spare tire well. Will check sometime soon to see if the fast or cool shirt fitting fit hose ends.

I use a home made setup. $15 cooler, $15 boat bilge pump, $25 for lines and fittings, and then the $100 shirt. Works like a champ for a 45 min race at 90* plus temp.

I am about to pull it from the race car and set it up in the truck, the ac just quit and I have a three hour drive tomorrow, expected high is 106

Just change the ends on the cool suit shirt or whatever and the cooler that you have. My original connectors broke and that is what I did. You can buy more sets of connectors and some extra tubing and build an extension if you want.

Sockets - McMaster-Carr part number 5923K31
Inserts - McMaster-Carr part number 5923K61

I used a battery tray with tie down straps to mount it and the cool suit cooler I originally bought just used adhesive weatherstripping foam for sealing.
