I just needed to know the engine code for the b20 vtec. I tried searching, but i couln't find it. I may have simply overlooked it. Thanks.

 

Uh....b20 vtec? b20b or z is the actual engine code. It becomes vtec when one adds a vtec head, i.e. gsr or b16a head....

 

There isn't one. A b20VTEC is a hybrid. A b20 block mated to a VTEC head. Honda didn't make that engine, and there are some reliability concerns from most of the community, but there are those out there making it work well.

the codes you are talking about are just for the block. head codes are different (pr3, p72, etc)

no the LS tranny does not have a LSD

GSR does not have a LSD either. What you can do is an LS tranny and get either a type r LSD or an aftermarket (like a quaife).

The ls tranny has longer gears, hence the reason why more people boosting use them, the gsr tranny from my old integra did something like 4500 RPM at 70 on the highway, maybe more, been a few months since i had the car.
