Wouldn't recommend it on 91. If you can get E85 should be okay.

stick to around 11:1. lots of engines run that stock and do fine on 91oct. you still need a spot on tune regardless.

If your using stock pistons I wouldn't consider that high compression

I think the flat valves give you like .2 bump in compression it's really not much you can run those with supertech valve train and a eldelbrock manifold an a good header but unless you up the pistons your really not gunna be high in comp. what car is this gunna be in? An R? You will need a serious bump in comp to go 13's and with a compression over 12.5 I think you need to run e85 or race gas bc of detonation of lower grade fuel. And I don't know bout Cali but a gallon of race gas is stupid expensive here in ct do not to ideal for a daily driver

What car would this be in? If you did ctr pistons it would def help. In a eg hatch with good tires and a good launch I'm sure you could break into 13's with a good tune

13's no problem in an EG with a healthy ITR motor. You don't need to run high compression for that at all. Now low 13's are a different goal. But again on 91 octane don't push your luck.

A decently built motor (cams, TB, mild CR, IM, headers) in a "light weight" car can run high 13's depending on driver. Low 13's require a more aggressive build with higher compression, big cams, headwork, big tube header, Big IM, weight reduction, traction & driving

I ran 12:8:1 CR on 93 octane with a full tune. No race gas added. I didn't daily drive the car but, could have. As for 91 octane + high CR + daily driving =
Believe it or not there are people that daily drive on race gas mixed with 93 octane. I know 2.
ekcoupeh22 is one of them. lol

Dont buy any thing Blox, Skunk 2, Megan, Black works, or any of those "types" of brands.

You're dealing with engine internals, no room for knock off parts. Buy the real deal stuff and never have to worry about it.

You can run any thing as a DD it all depends on your right foot. I have a Turbo R for 3 years now, no issues. On the other hand people build motors and blow them up in 3 weeks bc they cant keep the pedal off of the floor.

13's is a very very very easy mark to make. But think about your horse power wants/needs, rather then your 1/4 mile time.

Seems as if a lot of people building reliable streetable motors are using 11.5:1 C/R.
