I have always wanted to take my NSX to a track. How does this work, register and just show up? Do I need prerequisets to do this like prior track days?

Do I need my own helmet?

 

Just register on there website,they offer free instruction for new guys and they also rent helmets,your going to have a blast

If your a beginner sign up for there day event and get plenty of instruction

hhhmmm, I am supposed to go the Pheonix, AZ where im supposed to meet other NSX owners and cruise to Sierra Vista on the 28th..... might have to cancel that for this because i save money and think I will have more fun.

I might do the 28th instead of the 29th because its much cheaper. Whats the difference between whats happening on those two days? I would rather roll with others who are begginers. Is there a reason saturday is cheaper?

 

nevermind, sunday is a little longer and only $10 more. Im almost sure im going 29th.

 

Sorry for bugging woth so many question but I plan on driving my NSX there and having my lady follow me with the Honda Fit so she can carry the EZ up and ice chest with drinks and whatever else she needs to stay comfortable out there. Is that ok? Is there going to be a place to set up?

Yeah, there's a big lot next to the track where everyone parks. There's a coupon code ( Sow15 ) to make Sunday only $95 which isn't bad. Plus it's from 9am-5pm.

And you wont crash man. lol. It's my first time too, so I'll be taking it easy.

 

My rear tires are also $310 a piece so I hope they dont get shot in one day LOL. I'm trying to convince at least one more NSX to go with me....my girl offered to pay for registration. I ask why and she said "for being the best man in the world". aaawwwwww.

 

That's adorable. <3 lol. My tires are some 500 tread wear Hancoooks. I think they'll last a while. Are yours R-comps or just summer performance tires?

 

I have two sets of wheels. Both wheels are Ultra Leggeras. One has Dunlop Z1R Starspecs and other are Michelin Pilots Sports. Maximum and extreme performance tires.


Some people have advised me to put regular tires so they can be easier to break loose because the ones that I have stick very well and when they break loose it will be at high speeds and can be difficult for a novice to control. In other words to lower my limits.


Just got off the phone with a buddy who has a blue 97 NSX and he might come as well.

Got 2 questions:

Regarding passengers during racing, do they have to pay to be a passenger? Or do they just need a helmet?

And also, what time do we get there? At 9AM or is that when the first session actually starts?

 

I was asked to fly out on Sunday to Georgia for a interview monday. I declined since im doing this.
