Default Suspension set ups.

I'm wondering what some of you guys are running in your 92-95 hatchbacks. I'm using Neuspeed Koni Yellows and Neuspeed race springs. I've yet to get a rear sway my car is used for autoX and daily driver. No tracks around here to get into road racing . Anyway i'm looking to improve my suspension. I want something that will give me neutral or slight oversteering. I feel that my shocks are maxed out with the neuspeed race springs so i'm wondering if i should have them revalved or get some custom rate full coilovers. Any advice would help.

Travis

i can tell you that your shocks aren't max'd out with the neuspeed races...you might want to try getting some ground control sleeves with something like 400lb springs up front and 500lb in the rear...that's a good spot to start with if you want rotation....you may want to decrease those rates if the roads by you are crappy. or just install a rear sway bar, that'd be your best bet. i've been thoroughly happy with my set-up despite my low spring rates....I've got pretty stiff shocks, and big sway bars! 25mm in the front and 19mm in the rear (but with revised geometry) my car is neutral, and very easy to rotate!

do this :
keep your Konis
run 350-400F / 500-550 R
GET a 22mm ITR bar
leave the stock front bar on
get a GOOD alignment and cornerweight

Is is possible to get custom spring rates without getting ground controll sleeves?

I think so - call Ground Control

yes it is possible.....but you will need to find out the relative length of your stock springs, and go to Eibach and select their ERS (eibach race springs). they are linear, come in 2.25 and 2.5 inside diameters and rates from 250# and up in various lengths. just get the rate you want in the length you want. you'll lose the ability to corner weight and height adjust though, but if you're not worried about that.

yes
most of them are 55 each spring from GC direct.

I'd second the idea of adding a rear bar. We have a 2000 Si fitted with Neuspeed sport springs, Bilstein Sport shocks and the Comptech rear bar. The car isn't too stiff around town, but it hooks nicely when pushed. We also did a "sporty" alignment on the car.

Not if you want to use your Koni shocks with the ERS springs. The Koni shocks have a lower spring perch just like your stock shocks. The Nuespeed Races are designed to fit into a 'stock' perch. The ERS's have a flat top & bottom. You will need to run something that will give you a flat surface for the springs to sit on.

added in edit: It doesn't have to be GC but you will need some kind of sleeve.

If this is for autox application, u might wanna try disconnecting/taking out the front anti-roll bar (assuming u have one?). I drive a DX with no front or rear bar and i've had a successfull season in CSP class. I have a friend who has an Si with the same coilover setup but he has a front SI anti-roll bar and a JDM CTR 23mm rear anti-roll bar. His car is VERY tail happy through transitions and off-set gates and is used to counter steering imputs. He co-drived my car once and he managed to do a complete spinout twice!
For autox, u need roll to aid in turning.
Taking out the front bar is also free too.
