Bolt on Build Ideas?? Help! Integra GS-R
Hey HT, Ive got a 2000 Integra GS-R and ive got 3k to play with, not much, but wanted to know what i could do with it bolt on wise? not looking for any motor mods. what can i do with 3k and get the most amount of power out of the car?
Ive already got exhaust, header, and intake. soooo now its either supercharger or turbo kit. and keep in mind installation would be a cost. gimme detailed answers! Thanks in advance!

jackson racing super chargers are a cool idea but don't really work out from the expieiences Iv had with them. search around and put a nice turbo setup together and have someone with a good rep tune it and you will enjoy it. if your in oregon I do complete turbo kits installed, tuned with fuel system and all parts provided for $1500.
So what im looking for it a build for around 3k that will get me a fair amount of power, (get my teg from 175hp to anything over 270? i would like it to be more around 350 but dont know if my 3k can get me that kinda power). So the goal here is most powerful build while maintaining a 3k budget, using just bolt on kits.

as far as turbo build if you had 3k to spend, how would u spend it? what kinda kit? intercooler? BOV? all the good stuff
I hate these kinds of threads. Wants it all handed to him but doesn't want to put in any work to learn what to do himself. This isn't a set of coilovers you're talking about that you can just slap on and drive.
Read the FAQs. They're up there for a reason.

Superchargers and turbos are not bolt-on parts. The I/H/E you currently have are bolt-on parts. Entering into the world of boost is not for the slap it on and go type of person.
There are so many questions you need to answer first before putting together a parts list.

350 won't happen on a stock internal motor... So you're screwed right there.

And when it comes to turbocharging going cheap is the worst thing you can do. Cheap parts are just that... Cheap. They break, have fitment and quality issues... You need a quality name brand kit with NO CHINA MADE ****... Lets see who starts spoon feeding you turbo kits.1,000 dollars the first one is a go autoworks kit (you damn fanboys)
He just means that he's betting on which person will be the first to suggest Go-Autowerks as the place to get his first turbo kit... He's not saying anything negative about the company.

Greddy has a great kit but you won't make 350 with it
I think greddy makes the most complete kit on the market...unless they changed

nothing is.wrong with the company. They make quality parts
It's just anytime i see someone ask for a kit, no matter what the end result is like 5 people post get the go autoworks tuner kit, etc lol. During my build i plan on utilising some of their smaller parts like their block breather kit.
To the original poster. For a stock motor street car Greddy makes a fun kit
there are few for sale here inner classifieds plus if you look on ebay there are a few.... You won't make 350 but there are a few people making 300 with some modifications to the Greddy kit
if you can simply get the Greddy turbo.manifold and the turbo... Plus an intercooler kit, which can be Greddy or any other quality brand (not ebay) have someone make you a full 3" downpipe from turbo discharge on (eliminate the stock Greddy elbow) at this point in time also port the external wastegate port for better boost control. I would also climate the blue box and run a chipped p28using something like crome or a hondata s300. I will continue to find the thread someone posted about this exact topic.
If you just want 275 or less on a stock motor on pump gas, you really just need a good cast manifold with good wastegate placement, a t3/t04e 57 trim .63a/r turbine housing, 3" downpipe and exhaust, a quality intercooler kit, blow off valve 550cc injector, a walbro 255 fuel pump, 38mm external wastegate, and again a chipped p28 with either crome or hondata..
Either which way you go i would run a Competition Clutch. The guys are local to me, i know them all and they build a quality product and stand behind it 120%. You have any issues they are more than happy to.do whatever it takes to fix any issues. Plus it's a very affordable clutch.
Either of these routes is affordable and if you know what you're looking for you can piece together either kit i just mentioned very affordably. The Greddy kit will.make for a very fun street car... Almost no lag and and gobs of torque but if you want 270-300hp you'll basically be at the limits of the turbo itself. The 2nd kit will make that same power... Be way more laggy in comparison but if and when you decided to build your motor it will support more power.. Around 380-400hp.
Ill try to find examples of both along with general price points. Again go autoworks makes nice stuff ut for your relatively low goals you don't need things like a tubular ramhorn manifold. You just really need to.figure what your long term goals are with the car. Do i want to stay stock block or build then motor? What are my overall power goals not just for now but in the future?
Figure that out and we will be able to help you out much better and point you in the right direction

wantboost: very helpful stuff, thanks a ton, will definitely look around for the greddy kit and some of those parts u mentioned. Im just looking for a fun street car, no need to be getting 400 out of it, although itd be WAY more fun to drive with that. Be rollin over those camaros and chargers these damn highschool and college kids got.
