id rather have cheap wheels so i can have alot of diffrent cheap good looking wheels than have one really expensive set

Is that all? Well people don;'t just buy Spoons because they're forged magnesium or anything. They would rather have a cast rota.-sarcasm-

 

Rotas - <U>Similar</U>, not identical performance to the Spoon SW388 / Desmond Regamaster EVO at a significantly lower cost.

The Spoon SW388 weighs pounds less than the Rota due to its composition and manufacturing process. The magnesium composite used for the SW388s are forged unlike the cast alloy of the Rota. Thus, the Spoon is lighter and significantly stronger. Still, they're all pretty light wheels.

Additionally, if it mattered to you, the appearance of the wheel is different between the 'real deal' and the knockoffs. The Rotas used a painted finish, which looks 'cheap'. You get what you pay for there.

BTW- don't get Spoons just to say you have Spoons. They weren't intended for looking good, Desmond designed them for racing. The difference between forged magnesium and cast is big.

 

if you really care about how there's different kinda metal involved then buy the spoon's. if you just like the style and your moneys tight get the rota's.
