Transmission replaced but still grinding
I recently replaced the transmission on my car. The old one gernaded cracked the case ect. Put the new one in and buttoned it up when to drive and it would roll but lous high pitch grind. Went over everything again and it looked like the passenger side axle was not all the way in (DDS 5.9s) did some research and they stick out of the tranny more then stock ones. Tried putting it in with a deadblow again and didnt make and movement. Started taking it apart again and with the axles out you can go through the gears and no grinds or noises and the speedo does work. I inspected the ends and it looks like there is damage from the previous tranny to the splined ends of the axles. I went to see how they fit in my old diff which looks great on the inside. They mate up just fine and there is no play or slipping. Axles splines bad causing the grind or is the tranny i got have the issues.
