Default PL Premium Polyurethane adhesive for WW door caps?

So I need to mount my wings west door caps this weekend, they are brand new and have the tape still on them, but the kit sat in a guys garage for 10 years and I dont trust it. When I was looking at adhesive options at home depot today, I seen PL Premium construction adhesive.

The catch to me was that it was labelled as polyurethane, which my kit is made out of. And the fact that it is a permanent construction adhesive made for outdoors and I gather could take the weight.

I debated using black silicone, but this seems more permanent, and secure. I dont have a week for the 3m panel bond to be sent to me so please dont recomend that.

Is there any reason I SHOULDNT use a bead of this stuff on the back side to mount this door cap?

Thanks guys

I wouldn't recommend the 3M tape they give you with the WW kit. I put it on my door caps and they started falling off soon after. When I had the car painted, the painter used either rivets or screws (I don't remember) to attach them permanently. Thats been about 7 years or so ago and they are still holding strong.

Definetely not looking to drill or screw anything.

My door panels are also unmolested so Id love to not have to remove those, and ruin the factory seal on the plastic liner underneath.

Just looking to stick the panel to the door with adhesive
