motor lifts up and down!!
hey guys i have a problem that i dont know whats making it happen!!
i have a 92 integra with a 2nd gen jdm b16a
when i jack up my car and start it and put it into first gear and let it go or gas it my motor lifts up and down, up and down over and over again and the faster i go the faster it goes up and down!! just put in both new axels and it still happens.
my friends and family said that its because of my bad motor mounts because my driver side motor mount is pretty torn up but im not sure if it is or not!!
also when i drive it down the street it makes like a 'clonking' noise and the faster i go the faster the clonking/knocking noise is!
HELP?!!

yeah well, at a certain point is when the motor lifts up. if it was really the mounts wouldnt it constintly jump up in and down instead of at a certain point? but idkk. i'll try that out.

well when its not jacked up i cant really tell because i cant drive and watch it at the same time, but when i drive it it'll make a knocking noise, the faster i go the faster it knocks. and this only happens when its in gear.
Wow, yea man change those mounts...or at least make sure all the motor mount bolts are torqued to spec. That's not good man. I've got the same car and same motor and my mounts are solid. I can rev my motor all the way up to redline and it hardly moves at all. Make sure those bolts are all tight and then think about getting some solid mounts. I've actually got 2 hockey pucks in place of my original driver side mount. For $10 a bit of work it's the best mount i've ever had
You're posting this in the engine management and tuning forum so that must mean it needs a tune. Simple as that!
Hockey pucks...lmao. I'm sure it works however, I feel as if I just travelled into the back 40 where the yocals use hockey pucks as lift kits and rad mounts for there trucks.
Oh and after watching that vid of your motor bouncing up and down. Your issue has nothing to do with your motor mounts. Looks to me to be more like a drive shaft/CV joint issue. Something is out of balance or not centred properly. If your engine is bouncing like that at a steady idle. It is definitely not the mounts........If you take it out of gear and let it idle it stops bouncing correct? If you give it a shot of gas in natural does the engine bounce?

But i idk.
Im gonna have to try to go under the car and look at it from below to see whats really causing it.
looks like the inner joint of the CV boot got misaligned on the install. also, just because both wheels spin when its in the air, doesn't mean it has LSD. Not saying it DOESN'T but here is the sure-fire way to check:
