Icon2 K24z3 in 95 coupe

I have the opportunity to get a k24z3 out of a 2009 accord lx with 28k. It was a friend of mine who had the car totaled from the rear. Would it be worth putting in what would i need for the install? i'm more a single jingle an bseries guy. Just sold my gsr an put the stock d15 back in for now. Also debating going back to bseries, but don't have much experience/knowledge on k's so wondering if that would be my better bet? i'm looking for some reliable n/a then eventually go f/i. Thanks!

Have you even tried to search to searching here? K-swaps are k-swaps.....found plenty of how-to swap & k build threads just useing the search. Literally took 15 seconds worth of typing, clicking, and looking.

It's up to you if it's worth it. No one else.

k-swaps are cool regardless which one you have. k24z3 is 190chp and 162ft/lbs. Not really argueable that would be more fun than a gsr or lsv. The z3 peaks power @ 7000rpm. Redline is 7100. All that motor needs is valvetrain and cams and it would be fun fun fun. With how long k-swaps have been around now, they really arent even all that expensive anymore. Over 2 yrs ago there was a guide made on how to swap a k for $3000 or less. With all the parts that can be sourced thru these forums, I would try and go K-series

ok, cause like i said i'm use to b's but would like to try the K world. I've heard the z3 is tough to mod with though because there not that compatible with older K series parts. True? That's the other thing I'm considering is the availability of parts.

you do not want that engine in stock form. the best k swaps are 02-08 k20a/2/z1/z3, and the various k24 variants.

yea, after more research i'm coming to realize that. Thank you. maybe i'll just sell the motor an put it towards an earlier K or stick to B-series which i'm comfortable with.

Whichever it is, it is a stepup from d,b, or h. Keep in mind the k24z3 has the filter at bottom attached to girdle and not at top right backside of block. If you decide on using a k20 oil pump it could be alittle more work=money to complete this type of project. Either way homie a K is Monster in a eg,eh,ek chassis. A straight swap with that z3 and ur making POWER. Good luck man
