ITR Intake Manifold on 2nd. Gen B16A
Since I put the ITR manifold on my motor, it surges from its idle(980rpm) to about 1900rpm.
Now on my ITR manifold it only has 1 cooling line coming off the distributor side when my OEM manifold has 2, 1 for the IAC valve and 1 for the fast idle valve (i think im not 100%). So I had to loop the total of 3 cooling lines from both valves with a T <----
Everyone is telling me thats what is causing my car to surge like that. I find it to be the only logical reason since it never did that before I changed the manifold, and im not throwing any ecu codes.
Someone with experience with this intake manifold swap or know of this problem, I'm guessing I can either block off the flow of all 3 hoses by screwing a bolt into the ends of them....

are my posts invisible or are peeps just not iterested in helping me? I know someone has to have had a itr manifold on a b16 2nd gen....
im having a hard time picturing what your talking about, take some pics then repost, maybe it'll help more, ive got...err had...still got but the car is totalled and im working on another........B16 with ITR manifold and I never had problems really..what IAC are you using?
d16z6 iac...look at the distr. side of your intake manifold and see how many coolant outputs there are...should be 1 big 1 small...mine has just 1 big...and the small line is looped in with the iac coolant lines...any help?
u need to try and use an itr or gsr iac i think

DarkSubRosa - did you get a chance to look at the coolant lines yet?? if so tell me what i a really sopposed to do with these coolant lines.
-THE WAY I HAVE IT
hose from iac to 1 side of T (plastic 3 way).
hose coming from directly accorss the first hose on 3 way to the side of the fast idle valve.
hose comig from final outlet on T and going to front side of the fast idle valve.
-THE WAY IT SHOULD BE
more than likely how i have it with the exception of the hose(not sure which one) coming from the fast idle valve going to the outlet on the intake manifold(dist. side) which I DONT HAVE!!!
Hope this explains it better guys so you can picture it or just simply go and look on your motors....later MARK
with it wired up like that i get an idle surge but no codes.

http://lyonel.8m.com - Search though tech, he has good info in I/M's for b16
found a perfect pic to explain my issue....

look at the itr manifold (right) and see in the bottom right of the itr manifold there is 2 gold coolant outputs, well i dont have the one on the left, justhave the right one....which makes my problem a fast idle valve hose that has nowhere to go so i tied it into a 3 way T with iac coolant hose and other fast idle valve hose

i think that this pic only shows 1, like mine..... http://lyonel.8m.com/cgi-bin/i/images/P0001883.jpg
i would appreciate if someone would go to that first "lyonel" link and look at the tech article of "by-passing coolant on throttlebody/intake manifold" and read it over and explain it to me a little better, dont quite understand what it means by spigot and what not.....please help, cant stand the surging anymore...
i REALLY need someone to help me out with this if you go to the above link(s) and look at some of the pics you will see the coolant spigot on the intake manifold im talking about that i donthave 1 of them(small one) ad it explains how to by-pass the cooling lines(basically fix my whole ****) to tb and im but i just dont understand what its teling me to do in the tech article......can someone please help me out here
