Here recently we have been having some hot days and every day I leave work I get in my car and try to turn it over and the starter will turn for a while before the car accutally starts. This only happens when it's really hot outside. I have no other problems with car starting any other time. Did some looking and alot people saying main relay? Anyone else had same issue and if so what did you do before I start replacing parts. Thanks

 

could be idle air control valve.

 

My 98 dx does the same thing, I find that when you turn the key, let all the lights turn on and then you hear the fuel pump click,.. after that it turns over much smoother.

 

Weird. If it was iacv wouldn't it do it all the time and not just when it's hot

 

Did you check the main relay?

 

No not yet. Not to sure how you would check it to see if it is going bad or if it is bad. Just did a little reading on it and everyone had there own opinion of what was going on. Wanted to see if anyone had first hand experience and how they resolved
