Default Fuel Filter Replacement

Hey everyone... I have a 1996 Accord LX 4 cylinder. I'm trying to change the fuel filter but cant seem to find it... maybe someone can help me out. The only thing I see that might be the fuel filter is below the brake fluid reservoir and I can see "out" imprinted on it. Is that the fuel filter? Lastly, can someone give me a general step by step in taking that sucker out? Thanks for the help and advice.

That's it. Honda doesn't have a recomended replacement interval for your Accord. It should be good for the life of the car. But if you got some contaminated fuel or just want to replace it anyway, they are a pain in the ***.

Yes that's the filter, it's round and has a banjo bolt on the top holding the fuel line on. It's a PIA like they said above to change...

Yes... I was looking at it in the hayes manual book. The bolts on the top seems to be pretty darn easy... stick a rachet with a extention on it and twist it loose. Is that how you take it out? The hayes book said something about getting down under the car... can someone fill me in on how to take it out?

Can someone tell me if there is only 2 bolt on top that is holding the fuel filter? or is there more work involved.

theres a banjo bolt on top and theres one bolt that clamps the filter and another bolt holding the clamp to the car the other bolt is under the filter that connects to the fuel line coming from the tank
