Default Wiring

I have a 90 DX civic that Im putting an OBD2 GSR into. My question is; does the engine harness connect to the cabin harness anywhere. I looked today and it seemed that they were run togeather in the same conduit but they were not connected.

I have the complete harness from the GSR so I figured that I'd repin in and get new plugs for an OBD1 P72 ecu and use that as my harness. Would there be any issues with this? My dizzy and alternater are OBD2. Would it be ok to pull the engine harness out of the rest of the harness and run it seperately?
