89 crx hf NO SPARK HAAAAALP ME!!!!!
Had the same problem with my friends wagon. Check the wiring you did for the mpfi swap dizzy wise to and from ecu also the extra wires you ran make sure jumper was for a dual point car and not for a multi point car will do a difference also.
Just tried a known good jumper harness, new cap and rotor, and different igniter. It wont spark until right when i quit cranking then it will spark once?
So confused on this one...

Also figured out when you turn key to on position then turn the key back off it sparks once

Can anyone give me what each wire should read on which setting on an multi-meter? Also i wire tucked the car and cut the portion on the pass side harness for the ac stuff and just figured out one of those was a relay for the radiator fan can anyone post up a link or info on which one it is so i can rewire that in and delete the rest(also i rewired this harness in to make sure thats not the reason why i have no spark and didnt fix it). Now most of you are prob thinking no spark because of the tuck but none of the engine harness or body harness that connects to the engine harness was cut or anything just de-loomed it and retaped it.
Ive done so much research and no luck yet on solving the problem its unbalievable, ANY HELP OR SUGGESTIONS ARE VERY APPRECIATED!!!!
well i traced the ignitor wires and found out the one that runs into the body harness goes into the harness we took out when we did the tuck, the pass side one that has the ac plugs and radiator relay, so i rewired all that back together and grounded it out. Im still not getting spark. So obviously that was the reason why i wasn't getting spark. Now my question is would that fry the ignitor trying to start it withought that wire connected?
used a test light to test the ignitor and when i cranked it over the test light flashes, so i know the ignitor/wiring is for sure good. I put another brand new coil in and still no spark... 414 views and only a handfull of replies isn't looking good.
obviously you did something wrong when you did your tuck. looks like it time to start from the beginning. get a fresh new replacement harness, or buy a tuck harness that is set to go. and go from there.
the only thing that was cut and extended was headlights horn fan blinkers and corner, i also took out the harness on the pass side that had the ac stuff/ fan relay and just found out that one of those wires was an ignitor wire so that is wired back up. so idk what i could have done wrong...
Ya if your engine is turning over its proly your ignitor. It happened to my dads old 86 hatch and my 97 civic. Its weird one day it was running fine the next day it wouldnt start.
ive tried 3 ignitors now and when i tested the one that is in it now it worked so im starting to think its one of the other two sensors besides coil/ignitor but no place in town had a dizzy in stock. Later tonight im going to try a known good dizzy from a friends car. Also does the hf come with internal or external coil? because if it has external coil i never jumped that plug which would be my issue. thanks for the suggestions guys!

if you swapped coil and icm
have 12v to the dizzy
then it will be dizzy internals, most likely cas(crank angle sensor) or tdcs(top dead center sensor)...man i feel like im answering the same stuff every day lol..
