Just between GS-R's, are they interchangeable. I'm not 100% sure on the '00-'01 GS-R's tho.

They have the same flange but are different lengths.

They have the same flange but are different lengths
that's why i said that they aren't interchangeable, since you would have to get a different catback exhaust for it to work.

and yes, the obdII manifolds have an o2 bung in them. you can use an obdI mani, but you would have to have an exhaust shop weld in an o2 bung for it to work.

all GS-R manifolds '94-'01 will fit
'94 and '95 manifold do not have O2 bung

i have a '99 GS-R...if i want plug and play characteristics i want '96-'01 manifold and A-pipe...correct?

please help

Just to be on the safe side, you'd better narrow it down to '96 to '00 GS-R's.

94-95 OBDI GSR's have one O2 sensor....I don't remember if it is in the a-pipe or cat

96-01 OBDII GSR's have two O2 sensors....I believe they are both in the cat...I know for a fact that the 96-99 ones are both in the cat.

94-99 GSR exhaust manifold ARE interchangeable because they are the same length and use the same length cat.

00-01 GSR exhaust manifolds and exhaust are a different lenght...so it is not interchangeable unless you have the cat and exhaust from a 00-01 that you will swap into an earlier year.

Just look at any header manufacturers site (www.dcsports.com) and it will list part number for specific years...it should answer your question.

Its in the cat. The A-pipe is shorter, the cat is longer, & the O2 sensor is pretty much in the same location as far as the floorpan of the car is concerned.

Right. Just before the collector, no cat 02 bungs.

96-01 OBDII GSR's have two O2 sensors....I believe they are both in the cat...I know for a fact that the 96-99 ones are both in the cat
96-99 have both in the cat, 00-01 have one in the cat and one in the header, a la 94-01 LS/GS/RS/ITR. Same header.

94-99 GSR exhaust manifold ARE interchangeable because they are the same length and use the same length cat
Right. Every 94-99 GSR header is interchangeable.

00-01 GSR exhaust manifolds and exhaust are a different lenght...so it is not interchangeable unless you have the cat and exhaust from a 00-01 that you will swap into an earlier year
The 00-01 cats are shorter, so like he says, you would need either the cat and extended exhaust, or a custom cat to fit. 00-01 GSR manifolds are exactly the same as 94-01 LS/GS/RS/ITR and are completely interchangable with them.
