I'm looking to find out if I can somehow fix my cigarette lighter issue... i have a 00 civic and have the cig assembly with 2 wires coming out of the back of the black plug.

My issue is that one of the 2 wires has come out of the plug ( one yellow and one black )

I don't know how to get the wire back into plug itself. Does anyone know a resolution to this issue. I'm not the most mechanical but if there is a way to fix it I'd like to do so.

take old out.....splice two wires, easy peasy

 

Post pictures. Can't you just resolder the wire?

 

The reason that I cant, or the reason I can figure it out is that the wire needs to go down inside the plug about 2 inches... As I said I just might not be thinking of it correctly, but i dont think that would work.

 

How did you find a 2 wire cig lighter? I searched all over and all i was finding was 1 wire universal ones!! Thanks alot... I might just order this and call it a day rather than going to my junkyard and trying to find one!
